Grant Sports and Nottinghamshire FA Seal Official Partnership to Make Nottingham Robin Hood Cup an Annual Event

Grant Sports Organisation Limited is proud to announce its official partnership with the Nottinghamshire Football Association to establish the Nottingham Robin Hood Cup as an annual flagship event celebrating grassroots football, diversity, and community inclusion.

Following the resounding success of the 2025 edition — which saw Ghana crowned champions after an electrifying final against Ukraine — both organisations have committed to building on this momentum to make the tournament a permanent fixture in Nottingham’s football calendar.

🗣️ “We’re delighted to be partnering with Grant Sports to support the Nottingham Robin Hood Cup as an annual event. It’s a fantastic opportunity to bring communities together, promote inclusion, and celebrate the power of grassroots football,”

said Sophie Swanwick, Football Development Officer at Nottinghamshire FA.

The partnership aims to:

·         Promote intercultural understanding and representation in football

·         Offer developmental opportunities for grassroots players, coaches, and referees

·         Support the wider FA goals of inclusion, equality, and community engagement

·         Position Nottingham as a hub for international and community-focused grassroots football

A Legacy in the Making

Founded and organised by Grant Sports, the Robin Hood Cup has already gained recognition for its ability to unite players from diverse backgrounds and provide a platform for rising talent. With the support of Nottinghamshire FA, the tournament will now receive increased technical support, wider outreach, and official inclusion in the county’s annual football development agenda.

“This partnership is a significant milestone for us,” said a spokesperson for Grant Sports. “It gives the Robin Hood Cup the sustainability and recognition it deserves. Together, we will create a long-lasting tradition that uplifts players, inspires fans, and connects communities.”

Looking Ahead

Planning for the 2026 Nottingham Robin Hood Cup is already underway, with expanded participation and new programming in development — including workshops, youth showcases, and women’s exhibition matches.
